Scoring above the cut-off mark leaves every aspirant optimistic about gaining admission into the institution which they applied for.
With the introduction of JAMB CAPS, you can now monitor your JAMB admission status.
You can easily check if your admission is being processed, if you’ve been offered admission and even receive a notification if the institution you applied to is willing to transfer you from your choice course to another course of study for admission. But, for today, let’s stay on how to check your admission status specifically.
I will show you how to check your JAMB admission status in these easy steps, now that you must’ve already accessed your JAMB original result. Oya!
Log into the correct JAMB portal for confirming admission status.
After accessing the JAMB portal, you will see a page similar to the screenshot below. Go ahead and fill in your login details.
Please, make sure you use the same email address which you used during the JAMB exam registration. Endeavour to input your correct password also.
Click ‘login’ after that and your JAMB profile will be displayed.
Now that you are on your JAMB profile, navigate to the ‘check admission status’ area and click on it.
A list of exam years will appear, select your exam year.
Once you have selected your exam year, go ahead to input your JAMB registration number.
Next on, click ‘check admission status’.
At this point, your will see either of these three messages on your screen:
- You have not been admitted.
- Your admission is being processed.
- You have been offered admission.
If you see number three, congratulations because you have now been admitted to an institution of higher learning. Check my next post to see how you can accept your admission.
